DURING ALIGNMENT, DRIVER'S SIDE REAR TOE ARM WAS BROKEN BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT LEXUS DEALERSHIP. THEY REPLACED, BUT STATED THERE WAS SEVERE CORROSION WHICH CAUSED THE BOLT TO BECOME SEIZED. THE BOLT HAD TO BE WELDED OFF. I SEE THE 2010 MODELS ARE SHOWING THE SAME ISSUES.
BRAKE AND STEERING MALFUNCTION. I HAD STOPPED AT A LIGHT ON A CITY STREET WITH NO PROBLEM. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I STARTED OFF AND THERE WAS A VERY SLIGHT CURVE IN THE ROAD. AS I TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT, I KEPT GOING TO THE RIGHT. I TRIED TO STEER THE CAR BACK BUT IT CONTINUED TO GO TO THE RIGHT. I HIT THE BRAKES AND I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO BRAKES. THERE WAS A SEMI COMING IN THE RIGHT LANE WHO COULD NOT AVOID HITTING ME. THE IMPACT RESULTED IN ME DOING A 360, JUMPING A CURB AND GOING DOWN INTO A RAVINE. I KEPT HITTING THE BRAKES TRYING TO GET THEM TO ENGAGE AND NOTHING. I SAW A GUARDRAIL COMING UP IN FRONT OF ME AND I TRIED STEERING TO MISS IT BUT I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO CONTROL OF THE CAR. THE STEERING WHEEL WAS TURNING BUT THE TIRES WEREN'T. I HIT THE GUARDRAIL HEAD ON WHICH FINALLY STOPPED THE CAR. A PRIVATE MECHANIC CHECKED THE CAR AND CONFIRMED NO BRAKES OR STEERING, YET THE BRAKE LINE IS IN TACT AND FLUID LEVEL GOOD. THIS HAS TO BE A MECHANICAL/ELECTRONIC MALFUNCTION THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. THERE WAS A BRAKE ISSUE NOTED ON THE 2010 LEXUS HS250 BUT NOTHING NOTED ON THE 2011 I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED OR HURT A LOT WORSE THAN I WAS. WE WANT ANSWERS AS TO WHAT CAUSED THIS PROBLEM. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 LEXUS HS 250 HYBRID. AFTER THE PARK BRAKE BUTTON WAS ENGAGED, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY ROLLED AWAY. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A WALL. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A TOE INJURY THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. ON THE SAME DAY,THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT HEADLIGHT FAILED TO ILLUMINATE INTERMITTENTLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000. UPDATED 12/30/15 *BF

Lexus is providing coverage for repairs in the subject vehicles related to certain internal malfunctions of the Brake Booster Pump Assembly and/or Brake Booster, depending on the model.
ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL:AUTOMATIC (ASC); LANE DEPARTURE
TSB: Some 2010 ? 2012 model year HS 250h vehicles may exhibit a condition where the brake, ABS, and/or TRAC warning lights are on and/or a Check VSC message displays. One or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) C1391, C1252, C1256, and/or C1253 will be stored in the vehicle?s memory to be used as veri+G4fication. This condition may be caused by a small brake fluid leak inside the brake booster assembly with master cylinder. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.

TSB: This bulletin includes basic procedures for performing a rescue charge on Ni-MH high voltage (HV) batteries. This bulletin should be used in conjunction with the applicable model and model year Repair Manual while performing the rescue charge. TSB: Some 2005 ? 2022 model year Lexus vehicles that have undergone water intrusion may exhibit a condition in which a musty smell is present. Follow the procedures in this bulletin to remediate the odor and address this condition. The purpose of this service bulletin is to provide general guidelines and procedures for odor remediation. This service bulletin provides a guide on how to prepare the interior of the vehicle prior to an odor remediation being performed, as well as contact information for an approved vendor who will arrange the remediation, and instructions on how to prepare the interior of the vehicle for reassembly once the remediation has been completed.
