2020 Lexus NX Hybrid Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

SUNROOF SPONTANEOUSLY EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY ROUTE 101 IN NEW HAMPSHIRE NEAR EPPING. THE SUNROOF AND CAR WINDOWS WERE CLOSED AT THE TIME. THERE WAS VERY LITTLE TRAFFIC ON THE ROAD AND THE CAR WAS NOT NEAR AN UNDERPASS. THE GLASS FROM THE SUNROOF SHATTERED ALL OVER THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR WITH THE MAJORITY ENDING UP IN THE BACK SEAT. FORTUNATELY, NO PASSENGERS WERE IN THE BACK SEAT AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO REPORT. THE DRIVER PULLED THE CAR OFF THE HIGHWAY AT THE NEXT EXIT AND DROVE THE CAR TO A LOCAL LEXUS DEALER FOR REPAIR.
