SEAT BELTS:REAR/OTHERMEDIX IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2007-2011 TYPE II AMBULANCES, MANUFACTURED FROM SEPTEMBER 1, 2007, THROUGH NOVEMBER 16, 2011. DUE TO OVERSIGHT, MEDIX INSTALLED SEATS IN A REAR FACING POSITION IN THE PATIENT COMPARTMENT WITH A TYPE I (LAP BELT ONLY) SEAT BELT CONFIGURATION. THEREFORE, THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NUMBER 208, “OCCUPANT CRASH PROTECTION.”
