What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1992 Mercedes-Benz 190E, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

From owner reports, verbatim
MY MERCEDES BENZ 1992 190E IS HAVING COLD START ISSUES AND IN GENERAL STALLING ISSUES. I JUST RECEIVED A JUMP BY MERCEDES AND MINUTES LATER THE BATTERY DIED AFTER ONLY PARKING IT ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE STREET. I HEAR THAT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF OTHER USERS OF MERCEDES BENZ WHO ARE HAVING HARNESS WIRING ISSUES AND THIS HAS TO DEFINITELY BE MY PROBLEM AS I CAN SEE OTHER ELECTRICAL FAULTS OCCURING SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH MY AIR AND HEATING, WARNING LIGHTS, DASH LIGHTS, WINDOWS, ETC. MERCEDES BENZ SHOULD HELP EVERYONE WITH THE PROBLEM GET IT RESOLVED. HOW ABOUT A RECALL. *CN
WIRING HARNESS IS NO GOOD CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES LOOKS BURNED. *NM
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
