ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES

Complaint Tailgate opens unintentionally. Cause Accidental or unnoticed activation of the button to open the tailgate on the vehicle key. E.g. when stored in trouser pocket, handbag etc. Remedy As of the 6th generation, the vehicle key can be recoded so that the tailgate no longer opens as a result of a long press on the button, but by double-clicking on the button instead.

STEERING

Complaint Power steering unavailable following engine start, warning message in instrument cluster. Fault codes in electric power steering control unit (N68). Fault code details/freeze frame data of the fault codes show the following values: P063500: "The electric power steering has a malfunction. There is a component fault." - Mon_ID 40 P063547: "The electric power steering has a malfunction. There is a runtime error." - Mon_ID 33 P063509: "The electric power steering has a malfunction. _" - Mon_ID 938 Cause Software error when starting the electric power steering control unit (N68). Remedy Perform software update of electric power steering, control unit N68. Please also observe the guided check in XENTRY Diagnosis!
