What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2019 Mercedes-Benz E 300, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

Seat belts
Reports naming seat belts, buckles, retractors and pretensioners.
From owner reports, verbatim
On May 23, 2023, the audible and visual seat belt alerts activated to notify me that the driver and/or passenger that the seat belt was not properly secured. However, both the driver and/or the passenger had the seat belt on at all times the car was moving. We tried unbuckling then re-buckling to the seat belts to see whether this would affect the alerts, but it did not. We took the car to the Mercedes-Benz dealership on May 31, 2023, but they could not replicate the problem and it resolved on its own. At the time of this first occurrence, our car had 25,053 miles. Our car now has about 32,000 miles. This past weekend, on February 3, 2024, the problem recurred and the visual and audible alerts continue to be activated. I did a web search and I noticed there is a recall for my model, make and year (2019 Mercedes-Benz E300), for what appears to be the SAME problem, but for some odd reason, my car is not on the recall list. The NHTSA campaign number is 19V-788. Both the audible and visual seat belt alerts remain activated and we are extremely concerned that this could lead to an improperly functioning system in the event of a crash. We had voiced these concerns to the dealership in May 2023, but they said they were not able to do anything because they could not find a faulty code. They told us to bring the car back in if the issue arose again. Please add our VIN to this recall. In the meantime, we have scheduled an appointment with the dealership to look at this problem again. Also, I took videos of these occurrences that I am happy to share, but it appears I am unable to upload them below. I took screenshots instead and uploaded them, along with the invoice statement from when we took the car to the dealership in May 2023.
I HAVE ISSUES WITH MY SEATBELT AND THE CAR IS NOTIFYING ME THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH IT, AND WHEN I CALL MERCEDES BENZ, THERE IS NOBODY HELPING ME. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY WERE DISMISSIVE TO MY COMPLAINT AND TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD NO PARTS TO FIX THE DEFECTIVE SEATBELT. I THEN CALLED MERCEDES BENZ CORPORATE OFFICE, AND I ASKED IF MY CAR WAS SAFE TO DRIVE AND THE YOUNG LADY WOULD NOT ANSWER ME, AND I RESTATED THE QUESTION AND SAID " ARE YOU SAYING MY CAR IS SAFE TO DRIVE?' AND SHE SAID, "NO, I AM NOT TELLING YOU THAT THE CAR IS SAFE TO DRIVE." SO, WHICH IS IT? I HAVE FAULTY SEATBELT AND THEY HAVE NO PARTS TO FIX IT. WHICH SEATBELT IS IT?

I have a 2019 Mercedes E300. My backup camera is cutting out while still in reverse. There is an open saftey recall for that specific year, make and model. Campaign #2022060007. Mercedes has told me there is no open recall for my vin even though I am experiencing the same saftey issue. The Issue has been diagnosed by an independent shop. It is a software update not a part that needs to be replaced. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police or others. There has never been a warning light on for this issue.
The rear backup camera failed. There are recalls on my vehicle year make and model but not my VIN number. I have the same issue as the recall.

There is no spare tire and during our drive to Las Vegas the run flat tires blew out and the tire ripped off the rim. We couldn't even travel one mile on the run flat tires. We were stuck in the hot desert for over 2 1/2 hours before the towing car came. Mercedes did not let us know that due to run flat tires there was no spare tire but unfortunately the run flats don't work and cannot be driven not even 1 mile. Our lives were in danger and thank God we had water in the 100 degree heat in the desert.
THE RIGHT SIDE BLIND ASSIST TURNS ON WHEN MAKING A RIGHT TURN AND ALSO GIVES FALSE WARNING LIGHT AND SOUND WHEN THERE'S NO CAR. THE RUN FLAT TIRES BLEW OUT AND DIDN'T WORK. THERE'S NO SPARE TIRE SO I CALLED MB SOS. I HAD TO CALL THEM 4 TIMES TO GET THEM TO SEND THE TOWING TRUCK. I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE 45 MINUTES BUT IT TOOK OVER 2.5 HOURS IN THE DESERT SUN OUTSIDE OF LAS VEGAS.
