When I turned on the car this morning, the instrument cluster screen was black and would not activate. Because of this, there was no way to determine speed or to utilize driver assistance functions. This created significantly unsafe condition because I had no gauges or dials to assist. I turned the car off multiple times and attempted to reset it and the instrument cluster screen was still black and nonresponsive. This appears to be a known issue from searching the Webb for Mercedes electric vehicles.

On several occasions the vehicle aggressively stopped and jerked as if someone hit my car from behind. I took it to the dealership and they thought it was a software malfunction issue, since there were recalls on the vehicle. I received my car back from the dealership and in a week of receiving my car, the issue happened twice. This has been extremely scary especially because on two occasions a car almost hit me in the back and both times my son was in the car. The car has done this where there were not any cars around and the car falsely believes there is a car around a collision will occur. Today , the car did it twice. The first was while I was taking my son to school going slowly. The second time this happened was while I was stopped at a red light. The dashboard then had a red triangle with an exclamation mark inside. Every time the car stops it caused my neck and back to hurt and I am afraid a car will actually hit me from behind.

On Mon, [XXX], my father was involved in a single car accident in the family's Mercedes-Bens EQE 350 (all electric) vehicle. When he was in driveway, he claims he was on the brake when the car suddenly accelerated on its own. It destroyed the garage door and then went through the garage destroying property, the attic staircase, and the frame of an interior wall into a bedroom. We have pictures of the damage. Emergency repairs were required to stabilize the frame of the house with more 2x4s. The insurance company says he likely confused the brake and gas pedals, but he's convinced that he was on the brake when it suddenly accelerated on its own. Importantly, no auto-emergency braking occurred, no airbag deployed, and no other emergency systems engaged. We received no indication that the system reported an accident. I was able to source an online forum where individuals recounted identical fact patterns about being on the brake and the Mercedes EQ vehicle accelerating dangerously on its own. We believe that the issue was a electrical computer malfunction and yes, the car is available for inspection. It is currently being repaired at a collision shop in Edison, NJ. I have sent a general service request to Mercedes Benz to encourage an inspection from them. The problem has not yet been sourced or reproduced and no warning lamps or messages appeared prior, during, or after the accident. The contact owns a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE350. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V372000 (Electrical System). The contact stated that on two occasions while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that an unknown message was displayed. The vehicle was restarted after the first failure. The contact stated that on the second occasion when the vehicle stalled, the vehicle was towed to a dealer where the failure was not able to be replicated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,700.

The contact owns a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350. Then the contact stated that after starting the vehicle, he became aware that the travel range had declined. The failure became a regular occurrence until the travel range had declined by approximately 40%. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the contact that the battery charging capacity could be expected to decline by up to 40% during the winter months. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not assist. The failure mileage was 700.

SAFTE CONCERNS: 1. Vehicle has sever severe pulsing/shaking/jerking behavior in motion. So far I have encountered this problem when the vehicle was under 20 mph; 2. Vehicle lightly pulsing/vibrating when braking and does not stop smoothly; 3. Stepping on the gas pedal for 100% acceleration, the vehicle only went up to 30~40% power. BACKGROUND: I purchased this vehicle (with 25miles shown) on 4/21 evening around 9 pm PDT. Saturday 4/22 evening, the first time I took the car out for a drive, I experienced the concern 1 and 2 as stated above then I took it back to the dealership on 4/23 morning. I have recorded videos when vehicle was shaking. I will follow up with video attachments in email. The dealership diagnosed the car and did verify the strange behavior, but said all problems were fixed by the real axel steering software update from 4/24 to 4/25. Please find attached the service report. I then drove the car back with 91 miles shown on the vehicle 4/25 evening. However, 4/25 night, when the vehicle was reaching around 110 mile total mileage, I encountered the same issues again, along with a new one as described in concern 3 above. Through out the whole process, the vehicle was never over 40 mph, so no one got hurt or no accidents happened while the vehicle lost control. However, the issue was random and happened in my drive way, at traffic lights and as vehicle is turning on the roads, these strange behavior could not only risk passengers in the car but also put surrounding vehicles and traffic into risks. The vehicle only throw two error messages ONCE on 4/23 morning: 1) rare steering malfunction 2)auto brake system malfunction.

ENGINE
Complaint Yellow instrument cluster message: "Cooling system fault, operating energy input reduced, service required". Cause Fault code "B3A0077 - The regulation valve in the refrigerant circuit for the battery cooling gets stuck open. The ordered position cannot be achieved" stored. Faulty expansion valve component part Y140/1 Remedy Check the part number of Y140/1. If the vehicle has A 297 830 79 03 or older, replace Y140/1 with A 297 830 89 03 or newer. Do not replace defective components with part number A 297 830 8903 and an expansion valve production date after February 1, 2025! Please create TIPS case, attach the current quick test and attach picture of the evaporator assembly component part label and a picture of the production date of the EXV Y140/1 (see exampled attached).
SERVICE BRAKES
Complaint At low speeds and light brake pressure, brakes will make a groaning or honking noise. Cause Frictional vibrations with very light brake pressure/modulations. Remedy This condition can be duplicated on most vehicles. To validate, use a like for like reference vehicle. The noise is normal behavior under the conditions listed. With very light brake pressure this noise can be induced/caused due to normal brake pad and brake rotor vibrations. Exchanging brake components will not rectify.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Complaint Clanking noise from the area of the speakers in the doors. Cause Under analysis. Remedy To narrow down the cause, first of all remove the door trim. • If the noise continues to occur even with the door trim removed, then continue the diagnosis working towards the speaker and if necessary, create a TIPS case with an informative video as an attachment. Note: Please refer to this document in the warranty claim and, once diagnosis is completed, select the damage code depending on the component part that is causing the issue. • If the noise stops when the door trim is removed, please proceed in accordance with LI72.10-P-067691. Note: In this case, do not use the damage codes for the speakers in the warranty claim.
SEATS
Complaint The "Easy entry and exit feature" function deactivates itself after a brief period. (see attachment). Cause The cause is currently being investigated. Remedy Update the HU7 to the latest software version, then perform a factory reset of the HU7. Steps to perform factory reset: Navigate to Settings > System > Reset > Reset to factory settings and confirm. If the problem persists, please record HU7 log and also a trace of the Body CAN (For Star 2 Body Can 1 and for Star 3 Body Can 2) during the symptom and send via a TIPS case to the Telematics team. Note: Only collect and submit the log and trace if the symptom can be reliably reproduced.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Complaint The OTA software update prepares the SRS/ORC controller and enables it to be updated remotely in the future. Based on technician feedback, the OTA (code: 25P5496529) does not start even after an extended period of time and several driving cycles. In addition, the "Continue" button is grayed out. Cause The exact cause for the OTA not to start is currently under analysis. Remedy Please check whether the vehicle is affected by the field measure "Update software of Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) control unit" (code: 25P5496529) and if yes, perform this update using a XENTRY with all latest Add-Ons and bill under accounting number 5496529. If the vehicle is not affected by this field measure, in the event of a complaint update control unit ORC223 (N2/5 -Supplemental Restraint System SRS) using XENTRY and use damage code 8251M01. As of XENTRY Release Version 06/25, control unit ORC223 can also be updated in this context without a password. Provided control unit ORC223 is error-free after the update, the vehicle can be handed back. ***IMPORTANT*** -In isolated cases, the OTA update may continue to be displayed for up to 3-4 weeks even after flashing with XENTRY. Note: This LI applies only to the OTA update for occupant protection!
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Complaint One of the flush door handles (Also referred to as Seamless Door Handles) does not extend/retract (and/or) the KeylessGo sensor surfaces do not respond. Cause Multiple possible causes can be inferred from the table, see remedy (additionally as reference table in attachment). Remedy 1) KeylessGo sensor surfaces do not respond. Door handles can extend/retract if the key is used for locking/unlocking. No particular fault code. Perform an A17/x (handle controller) reset via XENTRY (for example see attachment - under actuations tab for A17/x controller) -> add-on is available (add-on 32204 for XENTRY version 06/25) Please use one of the following damage codes: 8213H; 82197; 8213K; 82198 2) Surface-flush door handle fails to retract and/or extend One or more of the following fault codes are current and stored: B185D96; B185E96; B186196; B186296 A control unit event log for the component part concerned (A17/x) must be created and the following values checked in the "Component Errors" section: Motor_bridge_connection_fatal_error = True (for example, see attachment) OR Motor_bridge_wrong_direction_fatal_error = True (for example, see attachment) If one of the values is "True": Perform an SCN coding on the door handle A17/x via XENTRY -> add-on is available (add-on 32280 for XENTRY version 06/25) The faults must be deleted after SCN coding. Please use one of the following damage codes: 80A0F; 80N0F; 80N0G; 80A0G 3) Surface-flush door handle fails to retract and/or extend One or more of the following fault codes are current and stored: B185D96; B185E96; B186196; B186296 A control unit event log for the component part concerned (A17/x) must be created and the following value checked in the "Component Errors" section: Motor_init_error_for_sensors = True (for example, see attachment) If the value is "True" Bearing bracket must be replaced. Please use one of the following damage codes: 80A0F; 80N0F; 80N0G; 80A0G 4) Surface-flush door handle fails to retract and/or extend The fault code B185911 is stored in the DCU (N69/X). The motor resistance is too low. Bearing bracket must be replaced. Please use one of the following damage codes: 80A0D; 80N0D; 80N0E; 80A0E If after the remedy points above are performed and the problem is still present, then please create a TIPS case and direct to the Body/Chassis/Entertainment inbox. Include your control unit logs, photos/videos, and quick tests to show diagnosis performed thus far. -> In this case, store the damaged parts for further analyses.
