What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2016 Mercedes Royale Sprinter Coach, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

The integrated "safety cage" in the front of the vehicle, as designed by Mercedes Benz has completely rusted through over the past few years. The rusting was from within the hollow members that comprised the "safety cage". It is impossible to notice until the metal has rusted through the topcoat of paint. At this point the front of the vehicle is compromised and would not provide any resistance or correct deformation in the event of a collision or rollover. It is also impossible to discover if there are any other rust related structural faults. The rust extends over the entire front windshield clip. The vehicle has spent 99% of its life in Southern California away from the coast.
