Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component
Data refreshed
What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2012 Mitsubishi Fuso FE125, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

THIS TRUCK KICKS OUT OF CRUISE CONTROL, DOWN SHIFTS, AND SLOWS DOWN BY ABOUT 15 MILES PER HOURS ON INCLINE SUCH AS AN OVERPASS. IT HAS ALMOST BEEN REAR ENDED SEVERAL TIMES BY 18-WHEELERS. IT ALSO HAS KICKED OUT OF GEAR GOING OVER RAIL ROAD TRACKS AT LOW SPEED AND STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS. IT KICKED OUT OF GEAR COMING TO A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND ROLLED BACKWARDS. WHEN IT WAS TAKEN IN FOR REPAIR WE WERE TOLD THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT. ALL 4 OF MY DRIVERS NOW REFUSE TO DRIVE THE TRUCK AS THEY ARE AFRAID OF GETTING IN AN ACCIDENT. *TR

THE TRUCK HAS REPEATEDLY SHUT DOWN WHILE OPERATING SINCE THE VERY BEGINNING OF OWNERSHIP. IT HAS BEEN OUT-OF-SERVICE FOR MONTHS. IT HAS BEEN RECALLED, BUT THE RECALL REPAIRS HAVE FAILED TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE DOWNTIME HAS BEEN BOTH COSTLY AND DANGEROUS, AS ONE CANNOT PREDICT WHEN THE TRUCK WILL SHUT DOWN. *TR

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
