What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2001 Mitsubishi Canter Ge, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.
Reports by component
Ranked by how many owner reports name each component category
- Electrical250.0%
- Engine125.0%
- Visibility125.0%
Percentages are of component mentions. A single complaint can name more than one component, so these do not sum to the total complaint count.

HORN STOPPED WORKING THEN MONTHS LATER HORN WENT OFF IN DRIVEWAY WITH NO ONE IN IT HAD TO POUND ON THE STEERING WHEEL TO STOP IT NEXT DAY TRIED TO SEE IF IT WORKS IT DID NOT BUT 5 MINUTES LATER WHILE DRIVING WENT OFF AND DID IT AGAIN 4 MINUTES LATER. 3 DAYS LATER AT 100 AM IN THE MORNING WAKING NEIGHBORS UP WENT OFF BY ITSELF AGAIN. *TR
MY CAR ONLY HAS 65000 MILES ON IT. SO FAR I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE A RADIATOR, HEADS, AND NOW MY HORN AND DRIVER SIDE WINDOW BROKE. MY UNDERSTANDING FROM THE MECHANIC WAS THAT MITSUBISHI ISSUED A BULLETIN IN MARCH 2002 STATING THAT THERE WERE PROBLEMS WITH THE HORN/AIR BAG. IN ORDER FOR ME TO FIX THE HORN I WOULD HAVE TO BUY A NEW AIR BAG. I AM VERY SURPRISED THAT THIS HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL. IT DOESN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH ANY KIND OF DAMAGE THAT I HAVE DONE TO THE CAR, AND I BELIEVE IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THEY HAD EVEN ISSUED A BULLETIN. ALSO, THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW TRACK BROKE. I CAN'T UNDERSTAND SINCE THE CAR IS ONLY A 2001, AND I ONLY HAS 65, 000 MILES ON IT WHY I AM HAVING ALL THESE PROBLEMS. *AK
