What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2015 Mobilityworks Ford E-350, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

WHILE THIS VEHICLE (A SCHOOL BUS, WITH STUDENTS ABOARD), WAS BEING OPERATED ON THE A CITY STREET, THE SCHOOL BUS STOPPED AT A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT AND WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN THE SCHOOL WOULD NOT THEN MOVE FORWARD OR BACK REGARDLESS OF THE GEAR SELECTED. THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT ENGAGE INTO ANY GEAR. THE SCHOOL BUS WAS TOWED TO FORD AND IT WAS FOUND THAT THE COAST CLUTCH DRUM, RETURN SPRING AND COAST CLUTCH HUB ASSEMBLY SPLINES DAMAGED. AFTER REPLACEMENT VEHICLES TRANSMISSION SHIFTS AND ENGAGES ALL GEARS. THIS BREAK DOWN RESULTED IN HAVING TO TRANSFER SPECIAL NEED STUDENTS FROM ONE BUS TO ANOTHER IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY INTERSECTION.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
