TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 NATIONAL RV SEA VIEW. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE REGARDING THE VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TWICE AND CALLED THREE OTHER DEALERS. NONE OF THE DEALERS DISCONNECTED THE SPEED CONTROL SWITCH AND ALL OF THEM STATED THAT THE PART WOULD BE UNAVAILABLE UNTIL JANUARY OF 2008. THE ENGINE SIZE AND RECALL NUMBER WERE UNKNOWN. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 60,837.

THE FRONT OF THE MOTOR HOME SEPARATED AND FELL OFF WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THE VERTICAL BAR FRAME CRACKED AT THE BOTTOM. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE BAR FRAME, BUT DID NOT PROVIDE AN EXPLANATION ON WHAT CAUSED THE CRACK. THE CONSUMER FELT THAT THE CRACK OCCURRED BECAUSE THE MATERIAL OF THE FRAME BAR WAS MADE OF FLIMSY MATERIAL. *AK THE WINDSHIELD ALSO BECAME SEPARATED FROM THE WINDOW FRAME ON BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AND CRACKED THE WINDSHIELD. THE DASH WAS ALSO RATTLING. *SC *JB

WHENEVER VEHICLE RAN OVER A ROUGH ROAD/ POT HOLES OR BUMPS, IT CAUSED REAR WHEELS TO WANDER ACROSS THE ROAD. MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED. *AK THE SWAYING OF THE VEHICLE CAUSED THE SWAY BAR TO BREAK. AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE MADE THE VEHICLE HANDLED BETTER BUT THERE WERE STILL PROBLEMS. WHEN CHECKED, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE SPRINGS WERE ONLY RATED FOR 9,300 LBS. THE REAR AXLE IS RATED AT 11,00 LBS. *JG
