1992 Nissan 300ZX Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

I HAVE DONE A LOT OF RESEARCH (AFTER THE FACT) AND LEARNED MANY PAOPLE HAVE HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH THIS MODEL/YEAR. THE MOST TRAGIC CASE IS THE FUEL LINES NEEDING REPLACEMENT. I WAS TOLD BY DEALERSHIP THAT I WAS LUCKY NOT TO BE A BALL OF FLAMES DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE! THAT IS VERY DISTRUBING. THIS VEHICLE IS TOO YOUNG TO HAVE SUCH MAJOR COMPONENT FAILURES!! VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE (WHICH WOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM IF THE CAR WAS "OVER THE HILL") BUT THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 95K ON IT. PLEASE ADVISE AS TO THE FUEL LINE ISSUE.*AK
