All 4 door actuators failed over the course of a few months. Now none of the locks work, and the cost to fix them is prohibitive.

I bought my 2019 Nissan Altima SR from Westshore Mazda in Tampa. The next day I locked and unlocked the car and noticed that only the driver‘s door was working so three out of the four doors don’t lock and unlock by either the driver side door or the key fobs. I looked this up online and noticed it’s a defect on a lot of these models and the sentras.

I continuously have issues with it showing a crash and with the warning "engine malfunction, power reduced, service now" light coming on. This has been a recurring issue. There is always a light coming on in this car. I don't know if it is sensitive sensors or if it was poorly made.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2019 Nissan Altima. The contact discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy after the purchase. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the mileage was 60,000. It was later discovered upon checking a Carfax Report that the mileage was 180,000.

I recently bought a 2019 Nissan Altima SR and when I got it home I noticed the door locks weren't locking or unlocking on 3 doors! The salesman didn't mention any problems with the car and I inspected it and didn't notice this until I got it home. This is a safety issue and everything should work on a vehicle when one buys it. There were no warnings and I have a family with two teen kids and one drives. I've reported this to the dealer and they haven't responded yet. I don't feel safe in the car with this problem and I also saw this is a common complaint on different websites. I can't afford to shell out more money for a repair that should of been done before they sold it to me. There should be an immediate recall that nissan needs to address this.

I’ve owned this vehicle since March 2023, and I have experienced several electrical issues. For instance, my car displays a malfunction warning and the check engine light multiple times throughout the month. When the engine malfunction warning appears, the engine will not accelerate, and if the vehicle is idling, it will shut off. I then have to restart the car. Another issue involves the door locks. I am sometimes unable to lock my doors using the key, or the lock will get stuck and not open. I have also seen other complaints reporting the same issue. This is concerning and poses a safety hazard.

I am filing this complaint because the locking system on my 2019 Nissan Altima has been malfunctioning for a few years, and it has now become a serious safety issue. I first noticed that my back doors and my front driver-side doors would not lock or unlock when using the remote or the button inside the car. This is very concerning because it means my car is often unsecured when it should be locked, and there are never any warning lamps or messages to let me know the system failed. I have to manually lock and unlock the doors myself just to get them to work, which has happened multiple times while my kids were trying to exit the vehicle. The problem has recently gotten worse. Last week, I had an issue where the door would not open at all because the latch stayed engaged even though the door was "unlocked." I had to pull the manual lever multiple times before it would finally open. This constant locking issue is a major risk because it could prevent us from getting out of the car quickly in an emergency. The vehicle and these components are available for inspection, and I am taking the car to Nissan tomorrow to have the problem confirmed and inspected.

I changed the Air Mass Flow sensor and it’s still showing the check engine light on my dash board and giving me the same code after replacing it brand new. My brakes sound horrible after replacing both sets of brakes, front and back. The Foward Collision Warning sensor did not respond in a timely matter, resulting in a minor fender bender.

Every time I put the breaks on or go over any kind of speed bump, it bounces and sounds like warn out bed springs. Out of nowhere The volume on my radio will turn up extremely loud. Its happened more than a handful of times while driving and it scared me to the point of having to pull over to gather myself. Some days it doesn’t work at all. The past 3 months, My front passenger window gets stuck and won’t go up without me turning the car off then back on and still at times won’t work. I’ve had no choice but to leave the window down more than enough times and putting plastic over it until it decides to work again. The engine shakes and it feels like the transmission is about to give.

I have a 2019 Nissan Altima SR 2.5. I have currently had the car for about 3 or 4 years now. For most of the time I have had the car, the check engine light stays on. I have had it tested, and it always states that it is the Mass Air Flow Sensor. When sitting in park idling, it will "malfunction" and state that the engine is reducing power. During this, the automatic emergency brake warning light and the VDC light will come on. It's rare that it happens while I am driving but it has happened. I recently had the vehicle checked again and again it stated that the Mass Air Flow Sensor and the Grille Shutter Actuator were throwing codes along with some other minor items. I purchased the MAFS and replaced it in hope that this would correct a lot of the idling issues, however after a few days of driving the vehicle, it again has started to malfunction and idle harshly. I do know it typically happens in the morning recently, but I was also having issues with my battery draining for no reason. This car is a certified lemon. I currently don't know what to do, as this sight states I have no unrepaired recalls for this vehicle, and I currently owe too much money to trade it in.

I have had the most problems with this car. I have had it in the shop 2 times paid more than $600 both times to be rewired and a sensor was messed up 1 day later check engine light came on they wanted me to bring it back and charge me again I said no thank you check engine light is still on. 3 months in between the 2 times to get rewired. Only lock that works is front passenger side they stopped working they wanted to charge me 400 per door to get fixed. I had to replace battery 2 times I’m having problems with it again. The radio will change randomly that can last 10 minutes or 30 minutes. This is the most crap car I have spent money on! I can’t find the invoice for 12/14/22 but I did attach the bill from 2/24/23. I can show proof from credit card where it was paid on 12/14/22

CARE IS GIVING ERROR OF "ENGINE MALFUNCTION REDUCED SPEED, SERVICE SOON" WITH ENGINE, TRACTION AND COLLISION LIGHTS ACTIVATING AT THE SAME TIME. CAR THAN SLOWS DOWN AND HAS SHUT OFF. THIS ERROR HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING OR JUST BY HAVING IT ON. ALSO WHILE STEREO, BULETOOTH OR CARPLAY IS ON THE VOLUME WILL DECREASE ON ITS OWN UNABLE TO TURN UP VOLUME WITH KNOB. I own a 2019 Nissan Altima S, and recently, all three door locks except for the front passenger door stopped responding to the key fob and the button on the door. From my research, it seems that the most common cause of this issue is a faulty door lock actuator. Many users on Reddit and other forums have reported that the door lock actuators in 2019 Nissan Altimas or new models 2020, 2021 and 2022 can fail, resulting in doors that won’t lock or unlock either with the key fob or even manually. This problem can affect one or multiple doors at a time and is often attributed to a defective actuator. I spoke with a Nissan customer who refused to repair my vehicle and advised me to contact the NHTSA. They will investigate, and if approved, Nissan will repair the issue at no charge. I would like to report this issue for a potential recall and seek assistance with repairs, which are estimated to cost around $1,000

Vehicle door locks stopped working with key fob and with interior controls. Radio volume control on unit doesn’t work only the steering wheel control. Radio will randomly change station by itself. Radio will randomly turn on when car is off. Car will not start and has to be jumped for no apparent reason. Battery has had to been replaced twice in the last 4 years. Dealership has not been able to replicate any of the issues other than the door locks that where repaired under an extended warranty that we purchased. There has to be some kind of electrical issue with these cars as I have seen many other reports of same issues from other people

In August 2024, while driving at around 35 mph, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The background was red and had white writing. The only word I got to see was "Master" something. It flashed so quickly I couldn't read it. The car lost speed like it was about to stall simultaneously. A week later I had to jump start the engine. I had my battery checked and it was good. I had to get another jump start on October 8, 2024. I bought the car new in April 2019. I've replaced the battery twice. I shouldn't have to replace the battery that often. I have kept the maintenance up as required.

The contact also noticed that the shutters remained open, causing the engine to overheat. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed and the contact was informed that the grill shutter valve had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired for the failure with the instrument panel. The contact stated that the failure recurred with the instrument panel. The doors won’t unlock when using the key fob or pressing the lock/unlock buttons on the driver and passenger front doors. I believe the actuators are not functioning properly. Also, the engine light came on and the code is P059F which indicates a faulty active grille shutter assembly.
