The defect: ON CERTAIN UTILITY TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH RFD WHEELS, THERE IS A DEFECTIVE WELD OF THE WHEELS' CENTER HUB TO THE WHEEL'S RIM.
The risk: THIS COULD RESULT IN A WHEEL SEPARATION INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The remedy: NOVAE IS WORKING WITH RFD AND RFD IS CONDUCTING THE OWNER NOTIFICATION AND WILL REPLACE THE WHEELS ON AFFECTED TRAILERS. OWNERS MAY CONTACT RFD COMPONENTS AT 574-295-3939 OR NOVAE CORPORATION AT 260-758-9838.
