We bought a 2022 Polaris Slingshot R with Roll Cage and Canvas Top from Private Club Motors. The rims were a little beat up, but as far as we knew, that was just cosmetic. It was closing time and pouring down rain when we left the dealership. I was driving behind the Slingshot and could tell there was a definite problem with the wheels, as they looked like they were wobbling. When we stopped to get gas, the driver said it was vibrating like crazy. I texted the sales guy immediately to let him know there was a problem with the tires. He said to bring it back in and they would take care of it. So, we came back on Thursday, 2 days later, because of rain and the service guy said Thursday would be better for them. They looked at it and then asked us what we hit. We didn't hit anything, but they refused to replace the rims and tires. I called another dealership that we bought our previous Slingshot from and they told me to bring it to them and they would take care of us. Turns out, 2 of the 3 tires' rims were bent beyond repair, there were gouges in 2 of the tires, plus, the drive belt had a gouge in it. Used Bikes Direct Houston took tires and rims off of a Showroom Floor unit that they had and put them on our unit plus ordered a belt and installed it. They did all this at cost and no labor. So even with the lowest cost possible, which was $1,132.48, Private Club Motors refused to reimburse us. The Slingshot never should have left their dealership in the condition it was in. It wasn't road safe. I have reached out to them numerous times and they have me blocked on their cell phones and don't take my calls at the service and financial departments. I even went there in person yesterday to give them one final chance before I start reporting them. And, they still refused to take responsibility and reimburse me. And, just to show how much abuse that car had before we ever got behind the wheel, it has a hole in the oil pan that was repaired using a bunch of JB Weld.

Your Complaint Number: NHTSA 11538188 I was involved in a biker run on 8/12/2023 in my 2022 Polaris Slingshot. When the event was over numerous people brought a dangerous problem to my attention. Polaris must have decided for profit reasons to eliminate the rear fender that covers the tire and I unknowingly was shooting gravel-like bullets at everybody behind me and hitting people causing dangerous incidents. I apologized but I was told not to enter these events as I also could be breaking car windshields as well as endangering all the bikers in the event. Polaris needs to recall all their Slingshots without fenders before tragedy strikes and takes out somebodies eye or causes a wreck and kills somebody. Please address this asap as it's an extremely serious problem.
