PAINT IS LIFTING OFF IN CHUNKS IN SEVERAL AREAS ON THE HOOD, FRONT SIDE PANELS & ROOF. MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED 7/13/01 @ 87,000 MILES. I WAS TOLD THERE ARE NO RECALLS OR CAMPAIGNS ON THIS CAR FOR THIS PROBLEM. I CAN UNDERSTAND PAINT FADING AND WEARING DUE TO AGE, BUT NOT LIFTING OFF IN CHUNKS AFTER ONLY 8 YEARS. I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM INDICATES A DEFECT IN THE PAINT, PRIMER, AND/OR SURFACE METAL.*AK
WATER WAS TRAPPED BETWEEN TWO OF METAL THAT FORMS THE FIREWALLS. THIS CAUSE A RUST THOUGH AREA AND WATER IS SEEPING THROUGH THE PASSENGER SIDE. THIS CAUSE THE MILDEW SMELL.*AK

WE HAVE CONTACTED THE PONTIAC DEALER AND HELP LINE BUT WITH NO HELP AT ALL, I DONOT THINK THIS IS A HAZARD, BUT I THINK THAT THE PAINT PEELING OFF OF A CAR THAT IS ONLY 7 YRS. OLD MAY BE A HEALTH HAZARD IF SOME GETS INTO OUR WATER IT WILL BE. I THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP. *AK
ENGINE CONTINUALLY EXPERIENCES ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS CAUSING FUSES TO BLOW AND ENGINE TO CUT OFF.

ROOF, FENDERS, DOORS, WINDOW GUIDES, HOOD, FRONT/REAR WINDSHIELD, RIMS AND TRUNK INTERIOR ALL BADLY RUSTED.
RIGHT REAR AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCK FAILS TO LOCK.
DRIVERS SIDE DOOR IS COMING OF HINGES. *AK
STRUTS FAILED, CAUSING PREMATURE WEAR ON FRONT TIRES. *SKD
PASSENGER SEAT INTERMITTENTLY FAILS TO LOCK INTO POSITION, CAUSING SEAT TO MOVE FORWARD WHEN APPLYING BRAKES.
AIR CONDITIONING FAN FAILED, CAUSING NOISE.
BRAKES FAIL, CAUSING VEHICLE TO SHIMMY.
DRIVER'S DOOR MISALIGNED, CAUSING DIFFICULTY OPENING DOOR.
POWER DOOR LOCK DOES NOT WORK, REPLACED ELECTRICAL PARTS AND SWITCH TWICE. TT
