1994 Pontiac Grand Am Body & structure Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the body or structure system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Body & structure reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

THERE IS A WIRING SHORT AND THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WILL GO OFF AND SOMETIMES THE HEADLIGHTS. USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN USING TURN SIGNAL. ALSO WHEN TURNING ON FLASHERS THE ABS LIGHT COMES ON. THE RIGHT INTERIOR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT STAYS ON WHEN LIGHTS ARE ON. ALSO THE STEERING COLUMN VINYL COVERING OVER THE AIRBAG HAS SPLIT DOWN THE PONTIAC SYMBOL EXPOSING THE AIRBAG.

WHILE DRIVING AT 50 MPH, NOTICED VEHICLE STARTED TO LOSE POWER. ALSO, THE AUTOMATIC LOCKS WILL LOCK ONLY WITH VEHICLE IS PUT INTO MOTION; AND WHEN TRYING TO USE THE SWITCH ON THE DOOR, IT DOESN'T WORK. WHEN PUTTING ON HIGH HIGH BEAMS THEY WILL WORK, BUT WHEN CUTTING THE HIGH BEAM OFF, THE REGULAR LIGHTS WON'T WORK. IT TAKES ALONG TIME FOR THE CONSUMER TO GET THE LIGHTS TO WORK. *AK
