Korr’s Automotive wants $55Ø to repair our exhaust leak. Fuel lines are too close to engine, which can cause death or injury upon impact. You’re welcome for [XXXXXX] upon request! Ecotec Gen I was re–engineered to be smoother and more efficient than its predecessor. Featuring an dual in–block balance shafts, power–steering pump, water–pump housing, and removable oil filter housing. This engine replaced the Quad–4 and GM 122 in North America and first appeared. GM offers an official kit which can be converted into 2.2 supercharged versions using modified ECM software. Model L42 is an CNG version of the Ecotec 2.2, producing 129 hp and 129 ft⋅lb. This LSJ was listed as one of Ward's 10 Best Engines in 2006! Sealed transmissions elude fluid access to function like regular transmission systems without requiring fluid changes for maintenance. A sealed transmission has fill and inspection plugs, with the inspection plug removing excess fluid and the fill plug adding fluid. Nobody told me during my tenure in ‘shop class!’ Knorr’s Automotive wants $55Ø to fix an exhaust leak, which is their disastrous mishandling. This situation is only going to get marked by more confusion & errors. Vehicle fires are rare and small leaks in fuel tanks or lines can ignite, in defective vehicles during crashes.

FAILURE OF DRIVER SEAT ACTUATORS ON MY 2003 PONTIAC GRAND AM. THE SEAT WOULD ACTUALLY MOVE FROM FRONT TO BACK EVEN WHEN THE CAR WAS PARKED, A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD. FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD 571.207 STATES EACH SEAT SHALL REMAIN IN ITS ADJUSTED POSITION WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TEST PROCEDURE IN ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS STANDARD ARE SEAT ADJUSTERS, WHICH THE STANDARD DEFINES AS THE PART OF THE SEAT THAT PROVIDES FORWARD AND REARWARD POSITIONING OF THE SEAT. MY SEAT DID NOT MEET THIS LEGAL REQUIREMENT. PONTIAC HAS DECLINED TO REIMBURSE THE $379.15 REPAIR COST. *TR
MY 2003 PONTIAC HAS A CLICKING IN THE DASH UNDERNEATH THE HAZARD SWITCH. WHEN I TURN ON TURN SIGNAL THE CLICKING GOES IN RHYTHM WITH THE SIGNALS BUT WHEN I TURN THE SIGNALS OFF IT CONTINUES TO CLICK, SOMETIMES FAST SOMETIMES SLOW. THIS IS VERY ANNOYING AND I AM AFRAID THERE MAY BE A SHORT THAT MAY CAUSE A FIRE. I HAVE CHECKED THE INTERNET AND COME TO FIND THAT MANY PONTIAC OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY HAVE TOLD PONTIAC ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND THEY JUST IGNORE THE COMPLAINTS. I FEEL THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS OF THIS MATTER. THIS PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE OCCURRING IN MANY PONTIAC'S RANGING FROM 1995 TO 2004. I HAVE A 2003 GRAND AM GT. I HOPE THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED MANY COMPLAINTS FOR THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE THROUGH MY INVESTIGATING THIS PROBLEM I HAVE FOUND SO MANY WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. DT*: THE CONTACT STATED AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED AND HAVING REPAIRS PERFORMED, THE INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP DETERMINED THAT THE HOOD LATCH WAS LOOSE. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC EXPRESSED THAT THE VEHICLE SHOULD NOT HAVE PASSED A SAFETY INSPECTION WITH THE CONDITION THE HOOD LATCH WAS IN. THERE WERE NO REPAIRS MADE. THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT PRIOR TO PURCHASING THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT PLANNED TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER AFTER FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE NHTSA.
I AM HAVING THE SAME TURN SIGNAL ISSUE( HAZARD SWITCH) IN MY 2003 GRAND AM THAT GM ISSUED A RECALL ON FOR THE 2000, 2001 MODELS. WHY IS THE 2003 EXCLUDED FROM THIS RECALL??? *JB
WHILE DRIVING HEADLIGHTS AND INTERIOR LIGHTS FLASHED ON AND OFF. DRIVER TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT AN ELECTRICAL SHORT WAS THE CAUSE. *AK
ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS 2/14/2002 AND 5/22/2003, MY GRAND AM LOCKED ITS DOORS. THE FIRST OCCASION, THE CAR WAS TURNED OFF, KEYS LEFT IN THE CAR. WHEN THE DRIVER'S DOOR CLOSED, THE DOORS LOCKED. HAD TO HAVE AAA OPEN THE DOOR. SECOND OCCASION, MY 4 1/2 MONTH OLD BABY WAS ASLEEP IN THE BACK SEAT, THE CAR WAS RUNNING, I PUT THE CAR IN PARK, UNLOCKED THE DOORS AND GOT OUT FOR A MINUTE, WHEN THE DOOR CLOSED, IT AND THE PASSENGER FRONT DOOR AND DRIVER'S REAR DOORS LOCKED. THE ONLY ONE THAT REMAINED UNLOCKED WAS THE PASSENGER REAR DOOR. LUCKILY, ONE STAYED OPEN AND MY BABY WAS ASLEEP AND DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON. VERY UPSET WITH GM AT THIS POINT. *NLM
THE SEAT MOVED FORWARD 1/4 OF AN INCH WHEN BRAKES WERE DEPRESSED. TRACKS WERE REPLACED PROBLEM STILL EXIST. *TT
