The defect

ON CERTAIN BUSES EQUIPPED WITH HYDRAULIC BRAKES, THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS DAMAGED DURING THE FILL AND BLEED PROCEDURE.

The risk

THIS DAMAGE CAN CAUSE BRAKE DRAG, BRAKE LOCK-UP OR EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

The remedy

DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE MASTER CYLINDER. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN JANUARY 27, 2003. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT IC CORPORATION AT 1-800-993-7686.
