The defect
CERTAIN CLASS C MOTOR HOMES BUILT ON CHEVROLET CHASSIS FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF PART 567, "CERTIFICATION." THE FEDERAL CERTIFICATION TAG WAS PRINTED WITH THE INCORRECT REAR GROSS AXLE WEIGHT RATING (GAWR) AND INCORRECT CARGO CARRYING CAPACITY TAG.
The risk
OVERLOADING CAN DAMAGE YOUR VEHICLE, ADVERSELY AFFECTING VEHICLE PERFORMANCE, INCLUDING HANDLING AND BRAKING, CAUSE TIRE FAILURE, AND RESULT IN A CRASH.
The remedy
FLEETWOOD WILL MAIL INSTRUCTIONS ALONG WITH CORRECTED FEDERAL CERTIFICATION LABEL. IF AN OWNER SO DESIRES, A DEALER CAN INSTALL THE LABEL FOR THEM. THE RECALL BEGAN ON SEPTEMBER 2, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FLEETWOOD AT 800-509-3418.
