The defect

ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES, THE HITCH RECEIVER MAY HAVE MISSING REINFORCING PLATES. WHEN A LOAD IS APPLIED TO THE HITCH, IT MAY BECOME PARTIALLY DETACHED FROM THE FRAME IF THESE PLATES ARE MISSING.

The risk

THIS CONDITION, IF NOT ADDRESSED, COULD RESULT IN A CRASH, PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.

The remedy

DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE THE REINFORCING PLATES WITH NEW HARDWARE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JANUARY 10, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT JAYCO AT 1-800-283-8267.
