The defect
ON CERTAIN CLASS B MOTOR HOMES BUILT ON CHEVROLET CHASSIS, WHEN THE REAR AXLE LIFT KIT WAS INSTALLED, THE U-BOLT NUTS WERE NOT TIGHTENED PROPERLY.
The risk
A LOOSE REAR AXLE CAN CREATE A SLUGGISH DRIVING FEELING, REAR BOUNCING AND LOUD BANGING NOISE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The remedy
DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND RETIGHTEN THE U-BOLTS FREEE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 30, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT ROADTREK AT 888-762-3873.
