The defect
Aluminum Trailer Company (ATC) is recalling certain 2023 PL500, 2023-2024 PL700, 2023-2025 RM500, RM900, ST450, 2024-2025 PL550, PL750, 2024 PR300, 2025 RM450, RM550, and RM800. A software error may cause the radio and speakers to overheat.
The risk
Overheated radio and speakers increase the risk of a fire.
The remedy
ATC will work with Maxxsonics to mail instructions and a USB with a software update. All speakers will be inspected and replaced as necessary. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 24, 2025. Owners may call ATC customer service at 1-877-441-2440 ext. 342.
