The defect
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024-2026 East to West Entrada recreational vehicles. Due to an incorrectly wired 7-way harness, the trailer brakes may lock up when the RV brakes are applied.
The risk
Trailer brake lockup increases the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will disconnect, cap, and mark the power wire as a tracer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 9, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-264-6664. Forest River's number for this recall is 504-1968.
A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
