The defect

THE ELECTRIC MOTOR WHICH DRIVES THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) HYDRAULIC PUMP DOES NOT FUNCTION AFTER A PERIOD OF OPERATION.

The risk

LOSS OF BRAKE BOOST WILL RESULT INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE CRASH.

The remedy

DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND, IF NECESSARY, REPLACE THE ABS HYDRAULIC PUMP ELECTRIC MOTOR.

OWNER NOTIFICATION:OWNER NOTIFICATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING FEBRUARY 1997.NOTE:OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT FERRARI AT 1-201-816-2651.
