The defect
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: TRANSIT BUSES. THE BOLTS FIXING THE RADIUS ROD LOCKING TAB PLATES WERE NOT LUBRICATED BEFORE BEING TIGHTENED.
The risk
IMPROPER TIGHTENING CAN CAUSE LOOSENING OF THE ATTACHMENT OVER A PERIOD OF TIME INCREASING THE RISK OF LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE.
The remedy
DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE BOLTS, LUBRICATING THEM, INSTALLING A NEW LOCKING TAB PLATE, AND RETIGHTENING THE BOLTS.
