The defect

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: TRAVEL TRAILERS. THE CHASSIS WIRING WAS INCORRECTLY ROUTED, CAUSING THE WIRE TO BE PINCHED BETWEEN THE FLOOR STRUCTURE AND THE FRAME CROSSMEMBER.

The risk

THIS COULD CAUSE AN ELECTRICAL SHORT.

The remedy

DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE WIRING AND REPAIR THE WIRE IF CUT.

OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN JUNE 3, 1999.OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT DAMON AT 1-219-264-2900.ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).
