Manufacturer communications
A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.
STRUCTURE
This service bulletin is about certain vehicles equipped with a rear mounted aerial, that could experience the bolts that fasten the torque frame to some outrigger and frame rail locations may fail. As well as instructions on inspecting and measuring gaps between torque box mounting plates and frame, then shim as necessary with the installation of new fasteners.
LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH; STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR
This service bulletin is about damage to latch frame from striker contact and provides instructions on how to replace the door latches and striker.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
This service bulletin is about certain Ametek gauge smart dual pressure transducer modules may have inadvertently received a 120 ? J1939 termination resistor in the printed circuit board assembly. This condition may present itself as a J1939 communication error, which may illuminate a check engine light, but will not impede operation of the vehicle. The bulletin also provides instructions on how to measure resistance and replace the Smart Dual Pressure Transducer if needed.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
