2003 Starcraft 21SB Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

MY FAMILY AND I WERE HEADED TO VACATION AT THE BEACH APPROXIMATLY 230 MILES FROM HOME. BOTH TIRES ON DRIVERS SIDE BLEW OUT 20 MILES FROM OUR DESTINATION. LUCKILY I BROUGHT TWO SPARES. WHEN LEVELING OUR STARCRFT TRAVEL TRAILER I NOTICED ONE TIRE ON PASSENGER SIDE HAD LARGE CHUNKS OF RUBBER MISSING AND RADIAL WIRES SHOWING, AS WELL AS WIRES COMING THROUGH THE SIDEWALL. I SPENT THREE DAYS AND $236.00 TRYING TO FIND TIRES. I ALWAYS CHECK FOR PROPER AIR PRESSURE AND FOR DEFECTS BEFORE GOING ON THE ROAD. THE BAD TIRES HAD LESS THAN 1500 MILES AND ARE CARLISLE 175/80/R13 DOT DB 1U H12R 1502. I DID HAVE A BLOWOUT A YEAR BEFORE WITH THE SAME TIRES. NOW I HAVE NO CARLISLE TIRES ON ANY PRODUCT THAT I OWN. *JB

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
