What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2003 Starcraft 21SB, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

From owner reports, verbatim
MY FAMILY AND I WERE HEADED TO VACATION AT THE BEACH APPROXIMATLY 230 MILES FROM HOME. BOTH TIRES ON DRIVERS SIDE BLEW OUT 20 MILES FROM OUR DESTINATION. LUCKILY I BROUGHT TWO SPARES. WHEN LEVELING OUR STARCRFT TRAVEL TRAILER I NOTICED ONE TIRE ON PASSENGER SIDE HAD LARGE CHUNKS OF RUBBER MISSING AND RADIAL WIRES SHOWING, AS WELL AS WIRES COMING THROUGH THE SIDEWALL. I SPENT THREE DAYS AND $236.00 TRYING TO FIND TIRES. I ALWAYS CHECK FOR PROPER AIR PRESSURE AND FOR DEFECTS BEFORE GOING ON THE ROAD. THE BAD TIRES HAD LESS THAN 1500 MILES AND ARE CARLISLE 175/80/R13 DOT DB 1U H12R 1502. I DID HAVE A BLOWOUT A YEAR BEFORE WITH THE SAME TIRES. NOW I HAVE NO CARLISLE TIRES ON ANY PRODUCT THAT I OWN. *JB
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
