2004 TRAVEL STAR TRAVEL TRAILER. HOT WATER HEATER COVER WAS NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED BY MANUFACTURER. THE COVER WAS NOT PROPERLY SEALED FROM WATER/RAIN RESULTING IN ROTTING OUT OF FLOOR AND FLOORING MATERIAL. OWNER OF TRAVEL TRAILER REMOVED THE WATER HEATER AND CHECKED THE WATER HEATER FOR LEAKS FINDING NOTHING WRONG WITH THE WATER HEATER ITSELF. ALL COMPONENTS WERE REINSTALLED AND ADDITIONAL MARINE GRADE SEALANT WAS APPLIED TO THE WATER HEATER COVER. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY ADDITIONAL WATER DAMAGE TO THE FLOOR AFTER REPAIR WAS COMPLETE. THE MANUFACTURER (STARCRAFT) WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE ISSUE AND SAID THEIR WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO SINCE THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY WAS NOT IN EFFECT. *TR

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
