The defect: Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2014-2019 TM bucket/boom trucks. The limit switch was installed upside down and does not stop platform level movement if the platform level exceeds 15 degrees.
The risk: If the platform level limit switch does not stop the platform from tilting, a platform occupant could fall, increasing the risk of an injury.
The remedy: Terex will notify owners, and dealers will properly install the limit switch, free of charge. The recall began April 14, 2020. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-605-882-4000. Terex's number for this recall is SN681.

EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; SUSPENSION

PA688 information was sent to users that Freightliner chassis may have an interference issue with the rear ride height control on triple axle trucks. The control arm may extend above the top of the frame rails and be damaged. Owners were mailed the bulletin and it is posted to the web site for installations performed by other entities. Users are instructed to bring the vehicle to Freightliner dealers if issue is found.

Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
