2006 Thor California Tahoe Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2006 Thor California Tahoe, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

1.) FRONT CAP DELAMINATION 2.) FRONT LANDING GEAR MOTOR SEIZED 3.) BLACK TANK INSTALLED INCORRECTLY AND CAUSED BACKUP AT 1/4 FILL THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE PURCHASE. 4.) GENERATOR WILL NOT HOLD PRIME AND SHUTS OFF AFTER 2-3 MINUTES OF USE. I HAVE TO DISCONNECT THE FUEL LINE AND THEN PUMP FROM AN EXTERNAL 5 GALLON CAN TO RUN THE GENERATOR. FUEL DELIVERY TO GENERATOR. I PICKED UP THE RV FROM THE REPAIR SHOP AND BROUGHT IT HOME AND RAN THE GENERATOR APPROXIMATELY 5 MINUTES UNTIL IT SHUT OFF DUE TO NO FUEL. I REMOVED THE FUEL LINE FROM THE REAR GAS TANK AND FED IT TO A REMOTE GAS CAN AND THE GENERATOR RAN FINE. THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM I SENT IT TO THE WARRANTY REPAIR SHOP FOR. *NM
