2019 Thor Motor Coach Four Winds Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

After purchasing used Thor Four Winds 31Y with 1095 miles on the odometer from Albany Rv, Albany NY in April 2021, the air bag system began to stay constantly on (illuminated). The dealer refused to address the issue. I had the air bag system repaired at Albany Light Truck and Car Repair, Albany NY at a cost of $1734.05. According to Albany Light Truck and Car Repair the cause of the problem was improper installation of the swivel front seats that pitched the seat sensor between the seat base and the vehicle floor cutout. Seats were rewired including drilling a separate hole in the floor next to the passenger seat to accommodate wire routing. Thor refused to reimburse me for the repair as I requested in December 2021 via Registered mail. Scans of the repair bill and the completed repair are attached.
