2016 Thor Motor Miramar Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2016 Thor Motor Miramar, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

Windshield wipers keep getting stuck. Passenger side gets stuck down and Driver side get stuck up. We have to pull over on side the rode and fix them. It causes a visibility issue. It also causes a risk for accidents pulling over. I have contacted Thor this morning also. We are waiting on a response from them.

WHILE TRAVELING DOWN THE ROAD IN A HEAVY DOWN POOR, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING. WE WERE ABLE TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE I TRIED TO RESECURE THEM BUT TO NO AVAIL. I EVENTUALLY GOT OUR RV TO A SERVICE FACILITY AND THE TECHNICAIN TOLD US THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM AND THOR HAD A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE. WE PURCHASED THIS 2016 MIRAMAR NEW BUT NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE.

ON FEBRUARY 2ND 2020 AS I WAS TRAVELING ON I-75 SOUTH HEADING HOME FROM CINCINNATI THROUGH KENTUCKY AT ABOUT MILE MARKER 104 IN KENTUCKY WE HEARD A RATTLING NOISE AND A WINDOW ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF MY VEHICLE SIMPLY FELL OUT ONTO THE HIGHWAY. THANK GOODNESS NO ONE WAS NEXT TO ME OR THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER AND WALKED BACK TO WHERE THE WINDOW FELL OUT AND FOUND A COUPLE OF PIECES OF THE FRAME WHICH I KEPT. I DROVE TO EXIT 102 WHERE I PULLED OFF AND FOUND A PLACE TO PARK SO THAT I COULD TARP OVER THE WINDOW AND CONTINUE ON MY WAY HOME

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
