What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2002 Thor Sport Utility, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

I HAVE A 31' EXTREME TOY HAULER TRAILER THAT IS EQUIPPED WITH CARLISLE ST TYPE TIRES FROM THE MANUFACTURER. WITH LESS THAN 1500 MILES, I 3 OF THESE TIRES FAILED. ON THE FIRST OCCURRENCE, A BELT SLIPPED AND THE TIRE DEVELOPED A SIDEWALL BULGE. THE TRAILER MANUFACTURER REPLACED THE TIRE WITH A NEW CARLISLE ST. LESS THAN 300 MILES LATER ANOTHER CARLISLE ST TIRE DEVELOPED A SIDE BULGE AND THEN BLEW THE SIDEWALL. CARLISLE WOULD NOT REPLACE THE TIRE, BUT GAVE ME CREDIT TOWARD THE PURCHASE OF YET ANOTHER ST TIRE. WELL, 3 DAYS AGO AND ANOTHER 200 MILES, MY THIRD ST TIRE FAILED. THIS TIME IT WAS A TOTAL DISASTER WITH THE TREAD COMPLETELY SEPARATING FROM THE TIRE. IT NOT ONLY BLEW, IT DAMAGED THE TRAILER. I HAVE ASKED CARLISLE TO COMPLETELY REPLACE ALL SIX TIRES, BECAUSE I AM CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY AND OTHERS IF ANOTHER TIRE SHOULD FAIL. THEY FLAT OUT REFUSED, AND TOLD ME THEY WOULD ONLY CREDIT ME AS THE TIRE FAIL. SOUNDS LIKE CARLISLE WOULD RATHER DEAL WITH A LAWSUIT IN THE FUTURE WHEN SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY HARMED DUE TO THEIR POOR TIRE QUALITY RATHER THEN REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE TIRES NOW. *AK
THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED A TIRE FAILURE. *JB
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
