What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1984 Tiffin Allegro, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

WHEN WE TOOK THIS COACH OUT FOR A TEST DRIVE IT PULLED TO THE LEFT WHEN BRAKING. THE DEALER WORKED ON IT AND IT APPEARED TO BE OK SO WE BOUGHT IT. THEN AFTER TAKING IT ABOUT 125 MILES IT BEGAN TO PULL TO RIGHT WHEN BRAKING. BACK TO DEALER FOR A COUPLE MORE ATTEMPTS TO REPAIR IT. NOW IT STILL PULLED TO,RIGHT AND HAD A "SHIMMY" WHEN BRAKING. TOOK IT ON A TRIP, DEALER AND MANUFACTURE SAID IT WAS OK TO DO SO. TOOK IT IMMEDIATELY BACK TO DEALER AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT IT NEEDED TO GO BACK TO FACTORY FOR CHASSIS SHOP TO FIX IT. IT WAS DRIVEN TO RED-BAY. THE CHASSIS SHOP FOREMAN SAID IT WAS FIXED. WE DROVE IT AGAIN AFTER IT RETURNED AND IT STILL PULLS TO THE RIGHT. SHIMMY IS GONE. MANUFACTURE IS AGAIN TAKING COACH TO FACTORY FOR REPAIR. WE HAVE ASKED FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION AS TO WHAT WAS DONE AND HAVE RECEIVED NONE. PER THEM THEY WRITE THEM UP,ON PAPER, FIX THEM AND SHIP,THEM BACK TO. DEALER. WE FEEL THIS COACH IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE ESPECIALLY IF TOWING, BIG POTENTIAL FOR A WRECK! *TR
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
