What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1995 Tiffin Allegro, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

A WIRE WITH A TERMINAL END NEAR THE FUEL SHUTOFF SOLENOID GROUNDED AND SHORTED OUT WHICH BLEW THE FUSE. THE SAME FUSE POWERS THE FUEL SOLENOID, THUS THE SOLENOID CLOSED, SHUTTING DOWN THE ENGINE. I WAS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, IN A CONSTRUCTION ZONE AT THE TIME. WHEN THE ENGINE STOPPED, I BLOCKED I-75 TRAFFIC FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES UNTIL A TOW TRUCK ARRIVED. ALSO, WITH NO POWER STEERING, THE VEHICLE IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO STEER. ALSO, THE FUSE WHICH BLEW IS LABELED "IGNITION". A DIESEL ENGINE HAS NO IGNITION, THEREFOREI REQUIRED A TOW TRUCK AND TECHNICIANS TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM.
