SUDDEN LOSS OF BRAKES ON A DOWNHILL GRADE. HAD TO PULL TO SHOULDER AND SCRAPE ALONG UNTIL SLOWED ENOUGH TO STOP WITH PARKING BRAKE. CALIPERS FROZE CAUSING BOIL OVER OF FLUIDS THAT BURNED BRAKE HOSES AND SENSORS.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 TIFFIN ALLEGRO 31DA MOBILE HOME WITH A WORKHORSE CHASSIS W22. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60-65 MPH HE ENGAGED THE BRAKES AND HE COULD SMELL SMOKE. HE STATED THAT WHEN THIS HAPPENED HE HAD TO ALLOW THE BRAKES TO COOL OFF IN ORDER TO CONTINUE DRIVING. HE RECEIVED TWO RECALL NOTICES AND WORKHORSE HAD NOT FOUND A SOLUTION FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WAS THE SECOND OWNER AND THE FORMER OWNER STATED THAT THE BRAKES WERE PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED. HE REFERENCE RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 09V110000, SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 37,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 TIFFIN ALLEGRO BAY RV EQUIPPED WITH A WORKHORSE W22 CHASSIS. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE REDUCE POWER WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AS THE RV STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE RV AFTER SEVERAL MOMENTS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WOULD RECUR INTERMITTENTLY ON A REGULAR BASIS. THE RV WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER TWICE AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE PERSISTED AND THE RV WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER THEN REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY MODULAR BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 28,000. UPDATED 03/07/11*LJ UPDATED 09/16/11
MOTORHOME LOST POWER ON 4 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS AND SUFFERED A SEVERE JOLT WHILE TRAVELLING 60 - 65 MPH ON 3 DIFFRERENT OCCASIONS.*AK

DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 15MPH THE VEHICLE STALLED TWICE. BOTH TIMES THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED.
