1990 Transportation Rts Bus Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1990 Transportation Rts Bus, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

ONE THING THAT I FEEL THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESS IS THE USE AND SHAPE OF THE RIGHT SIDE MIRROR. AS IT STATES ON THE MIRROR, THINGS MAY BE CLOSER THAT THEY LOOK, IS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS OF SOME OF THE "SO CALLED ROAD RAGE". WHEN THE DRIVER LOOKS IN THE RIGHT SIDE MIRROR, THEY SEE THAT HAVE CLEARED WHAT THEY ARE PASSING, HOWEVER, IT IS CLOSER AND REALLY UNSAFE TO RETURN TO THE LANE OF TRAVEL. I AND A OVER-THE-ROAD TRUCK DRIVER, WITH OVER THIRTY-ONE (31) YEARS EXPENSE. I HAVE BEEN IN FORTY-FOUR (44) OF THE LOWER FORTY-EIGHT (48) STATES AND CANADA. I FEEL THAT WE NEED TO GO BACK TO THE WAY THE MIRROR WAS DEIGNED , NOT CONVEX. THAT WAY A DRIVER SEES THE REAL PICTURE. I ALSO KNOW THAT EVERYONE IS IN A HURRY TO GO NOWHERE, TALK ON THE PHONE, READ A MAP, BOOK, PUT ON MAKE UP AND WHAT EVER THEY TRY TO DO. SOMETIMES, I THINK SOME OF THOSE PEOPLE HAVE A DEATH WISH. I DO NOT KNOW IF ANY OF YOU DO MUCH DRIVING, IF NOT, GET OUT OF YOUR OFFICE AND FIND SOMEONE, NOT A FRIGHT HAULER, SOMEONE THAT RUNS COAST TO COAST AND RIDE WITH HIM OR HER, I THINK YOU WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT OUT LOOK ON LIFE, OVER THE ROAD. THANK FOR YOU TIME [XXX]. *NM INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *TR
