TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TRIUMPH ROCKET III CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH THE MOTORCYCLE STARTING MAKING A NOISE THAT SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS COMING FROM THE REAR DRIVE. THE CONTACT STATED HE CALLED THE DEALER AND HE WAS ADVISED THAT THE MOTORCYCLE WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY BUT THE MANUFACTURER AGREED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER ORDERED THE PART TO REPLACE THE REAR DRIVE AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN IN ON MARCH 30, 2010, THE DEALER REPLACED THE REAR DRIVE. THIS DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND THE DEALER INSTALLED A UPGRADE KIT. THE CONTACT STATED HE WENT TO PICK UP HIS VEHICLE TODAY JUNE 29, 2010 AND THE VEHICLE LOCKED IN SECOND GEAR. HE DROVE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT THE DEALER FOR MORE THAN THREE MONTHS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,630 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 4,650. AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE MADE, THE CONSUMER CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE PROBLEMS. THE TRANSMISSION BECAME STUCK IN 2ND GEAR, METAL HAD TRAVELED THROUGHOUT THE TRANSMISSION AND MOTOR AND IT WAS ALSO DISCOVERED THE BEARING FAILED. 03/04/11
