MY 2007 TRIUMPH ROCKET 3 BEGAN HAVING SHIFTING PROBLEMS WITHIN 150 MILES OF NEW WHICH EVENTUALLY LED TO TRANSMISSION POPPING OUT OF FIRST GEAR UNDER ACCELERATION AT ANY ADDITION OF THROTTLE. REPORTED PROBLEM TO DEALER IN SPRING (APRIL, 2010) AFTER WINTER STORAGE OF VEHICLE. DEALER CONFIRMED PROBLEM WITH TRANSMISSION AND CONTACTED CORPORATE TRIUMPH FOR REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY EVEN THOUGH ORIGINAL 2 YEAR WARRANTY PERIOD HAD EXPIRED. TRIUMPH AUTHORIZED WARRANTY REPAIR THAT COST ME 1/2 OF LABOR (APPROXIMATELY $561) BUT PROBLEM REMAINS. TRIUMPH WILL NOT DO ANY MORE TO ADDRESS SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE WITH MANUFACTURING DEFECT ALLOWING VEHICLE TO DISENGAGE OUT OF FIRST GEAR. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD AND HAS ALMOST CAUSED ME TO CRASH THE MOTORCYCLE WHEN TRANSMISSION DISENGAGES UNEXPECTEDLY. *TR

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
