What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2006 Universal Elite Ii, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

I HAD 4 WESTLAKE SUPER ST TRAILER TIRES (MADE IN CHINA) SIZE ST 225/75R15, DOT 7DLT 1ET LOAD RANGE E MANUFACTURED 0908. ON TRIP FROM SAN DIEGO, CA TO ST ANTHONY, ID AND RETURN I HAD TO REPLACE 3 OF THEM DUE TO BELT BREAKAGE AND TREAD SEPARATION. ONLY THE FIRST ONE LEAKED AIR AND MY DORAN TPMS ALERTED ME TO THE LOSS OF PRESSURE. AFTER STOPPING AND INSPECTING TIRE FOUND TREAD SEPARATION ON IT AND BROKEN BELT ON ANOTHER (TREAD WAS ROUNDED VS FLAT). I REPLACED THE 2 TIRES WITH GOODYEAR MARATHON RADIAL TIRES AND CONTINUED ON TRIP. LATER DURING A FUEL STOP I INSPECTED THE TIRES AND FOUND ANOTHER 1 HAD BROKEN THE BELT AND THROWN SOME TREAD, BUT HAD NOT STARTED TO LEAK. I REPLACED THE REMAINING 2 TIRES GOODYEAR MARATHON RADIAL TIRES AND COMPLETED ROUND TRIP WITH NO FURTHER TROUBLE. *TR
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
