What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1999 Victory V92DC, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

Percentages are of component mentions. A single complaint can name more than one component, so these do not sum to the total complaint count.

From owner reports, verbatim
SLIPS OUT OF 3RD GEAR SOMETIMES DROPPING BACK DOWN TO SECOND CAUSEING THE BIKE TO DECELERATED VERY HARD. COULD OF EASLY LOOSE CONTROL OF BIKE.*AK
WHILE SHIFTING GEARS, THE VEHICLE WAS KICKED OUT OF GEAR AND STALLED. THE CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND THE MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK WHEN IT KICKS OUT OF GEAR BACK TO THE LOWER GEAR, IT WOULD SLIDE TO THE REAR WHEEL. ON WET ROADS, THIS WAS EXTREMELY HARD TO CONTROL. WHEN SHIFTING THE GEARS, IT WOULD POP FROM 3RD BACK TO 2ND GEAR, WHICH WOULD SKID THE REAR TIRES. (VICTORY V92C 1999) *SC *JB
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
