Our database holds 2 NHTSA owner-reported complaints for the 2005 Viking Epic. Each one is a report filed by an owner or driver and published by NHTSA without most of them being verified. A complaint is not a confirmed defect, not a recall and not a manufacturer bulletin. Narratives are shown exactly as filed.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

DT: THE CONTACT RECEIVED RECALL 05V364000 ON VIKING EPIC POP-UP TRAILER ON 8-19-05. SHE TOOK IT TO A LOCAL DEALER ,AND VIKING TOLD THEM THEY COULD NOT PERFORM THE RECALL BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT A VIKING DEALER. SHE CALLED A VIKING DEALER, AND THEY TOLD HER THEY WERE ANTICIPATING GETTING THE PARTS WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS. ON 9-7-05 THE DEALER CALLED AND TOLD HER THEY ARE NOT SURE IF THEY ARE EVEN GOING TO BE GETTING THE PARTS IN. SHE CALLED AROUND AT SOME OTHER DEALERS, AND WAS TOLD THEY ARE NOT EVEN SURE IF VIKING IS GOING TO HAVE A REPLACEMENT PART BECAUSE THE MANUFACTURER IS TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE RECALL. *AK
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
