INQUIRY FROM SENATOR JONI K ERNST ON BEHALF OF CONSTITUENT RE: CONCERNS ABOUT A RECALL REG HIS MERCEDES BENZ RECREATIONAL VEHICLE, ALREADY FILED COMPLAINT AND RECEIVED RESPONSE FROM NHTSA, BUT WANTS AN UPDATE AND ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME COMPLETING THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO SALE THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE RECALL NOT HAVING A REPAIR SOLUTION.*JS

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT NHTSA WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING THE REMEDIES. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED.
