2019 Winnebago Minnie Winnie Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

THE FRAME HAS DEVELOPED CRACKS EXTENDING FROM WHERE THE HUCK BOLTS FASTEN THE CROSS MEMBER TO THE FRAME RAILS IN THE SECTION THAT RESIDES BETWEEN THE TANDEM AXLES. THIS HAS BEEN FOUND ON THE FRAMES OF SEVERAL OWNERS AND IS BELIEVED TO BE CAUSED BY STRESS APPLIED TO THE FRAME WHEN TURNING. CRACKS ARE ON BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDES.*DT*JB*DT*JB

MY WIFE AND I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2019 WINNEBAGO MINNIE PLUS IN SALEM, OR. WE WERE HAVING BRAKE ISSUES WITHIN A WEEK OF TAKING DELIVERY. WE RETURNED TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. THE ISSUE WAS SAID TO HAVE BEEN CORRECTED BY THE DEALER (ROBERSON RV). WE HAVE SINCE HAD A FAILURE WITH THE RIGHT REAR AXLE BRAKE AND A MINOR ISSUE WITH THE LEFT FRONT FWD AXLE BRAKE. THE REPAIR FACILITY WE TOOK THE RV FOR INSPECTION/REPAIR INFORMED ME IT APPEARS THAT THE REAR AXEL BRAKES WERE INTENTIONALLY DISCONNECTED. WE HAVE TRAVELED OVER 3000 MILES THE PAST 3 MONTHS USING THE HI-WAY SYSTEM AND ARE VERY FORTUNATE NOT TO HAVE CAUGHT FIRE OR CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS AND WOULD LIKE NHTSA TO BECOME AWARE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
