The contact owns a 2024 Winnebago Vita built on a 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 chassis equipped with Continental Tires, Tire Line: VanContact A/S, Rear Driver’s side Tire Size: 215/85/R16, DOT: HW0PHNKU, and Rear Passenger’s side Tire Size: 215/85/R16, DOT: HW0PHNKU. The contact attempted to check the tire pressure of the rear passenger’s side tire, but it was discovered that there was no valve stem on the rear tires. The contact stated that both front tires were equipped with valve stems. The tire was original equipment. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer for diagnosis where the contact was advised to install the valve stem at a local tire center which would be an out-of-pocket expense. The vehicle manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The tire manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The tire failure mileage was approximately 1,200 and the RV failure mileage was 1,200.

Manufacturer communications
A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.
Service Bulletin sent to all Winnebago dealers. Bulletin advises dealers on the process for entering Mercedes delayed warranty start forms for Canadian units.
Service Bulletin sent to dealers advising of the required legal verbiage each RO should document.
Service Bulletin sent to all Winnebago dealers. Bulletin outlines the characteristics of new roof sealant being used.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
