The defect: Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2017-2025 Revel, 2020-2025 Navion, Porto, View, Vita, 2022-2023 Adventure Van, and 2024-2025 Ekko motorhomes. Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) wires can be caught in the seat mechanism when the driver or passenger seats are adjusted.
The risk: Damaged wires can prevent air bags from deploying in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect and re-route the wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 26, 2024. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 185.

The defect: Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2022 Ekko, 2020-2022 Minnie Winnie, Spirit, 2020-2022 View, Navion, and 2020-2021 Vita, and Porto motorhomes. An incorrect hitch label was installed, which can lead to overloading of the vehicle.
The risk: An overloaded vehicle can cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will install the correct labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were Mailed May 6/2024. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 177.

2020 WINNEBAGO VITA 2018 MERCEDES CHASSIS. I was driving home on the highway on 09/13/2026 and the awning opened spontaneously about 8-10 inches, the plastic piece holding the lighting strip came out of it and broke into pieces, and the lighting strip came out of the plastic piece. All of it started banging against the side of my RV, and then somehow wrapped around the latch to my water heater and opened that door. It was terrifying. I was able to stop and remove one of the pieces of plastic that was hanging by a couple of thread stitches and then get the lighting strip rolled up and placed into my passenger side window. Today I became aware that there is a recall for this exact situation but not for the VITA. This appears to be the exact same unintentional awning deployment in NHTSA Safety Recall Report 23V-694. This needs to be reported, investigated and covered for repairs for the VITA as well.
